  • 4 ripe pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Crumble Topping:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • Prepare the pears: In a large bowl, mix pears with brown sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Spread them evenly in the baking dish.
  • Make the crumble topping: In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir in melted butter until the mixture becomes crumbly.
  • Assemble & bake: Sprinkle the oat mixture over the pears. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
